Poor customer services! Poor installation! Wish I wouldn’t have used this company! No care was taken of my property or belongings, inside my property nothing was covered during works all my furniture covered in dust and scratched from being used as a tool shelf. Been left with a system that barely heats my house and issues with works still unresolved. Would certainly not recommend to anyone

Shame we can't give zero stars, all rush when it comes to getting things done but aftercare is horrendous these muppets should of been on the TV show cowboy builders, refusal to communicate means I am having to get other authorities involved to rectify the faults in our system. If you qualify for eco4 use anyone else. Photos are of supposedly completed pipework in the loft no insulation on them at all so will suffer extreme levels of thermal transfer to the atmosphere.

Given I have an unresolved formal complaint submitted to Borthwick, I feel I can’t offer a higher rating than 2 stars. I was left with external holes and unsealed vents in the walls from the cavity wall insulation. I chased this up a number of times before having to submit a formal complaint, as my emails were not being acknowledged. The insulation team resolved this particular issue at this stage, quickly and efficiently, but it’s a shame it had to reach this point. When the boiler was fitted they flooded the kitchen as a result of snapping off an olive valve on the radiator whilst adding smart thermostats, this has subsequently damaged the flooring. They have yet to assess or deal with this issue. I also have 3 weeping radiators and have questioned, that where the flue exits the roof it does not seem to be sealed completely. Despite submitting a ‘report a fault’ on two occasions and a formal complaint these issues remain unresolved with the Heating team. I can’t fault the workmen, they were friendly and seemed professional, and I’m grateful for the work done. I accept accidents happen, but come on Borthwick, follow up on these issues when there is an unresolved problem, especially when individuals have followed your policy and procedures. I agree with a previous review in that, it seems you thrive on quick, high volume installation with little or no aftercare, which is such a shame as these issues could very easily be rectified if they followed there own policy and procedures, and this review could have quite easily have been 5*

I recently had the pleasure of having a boiler and insulation installed in my property through a grant, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The entire process was hassle-free, and the fact that it was 100% fully funded made it even more remarkable. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the team involved demonstrated utmost professionalism and efficiency. They were prompt in answering all my queries and provided detailed explanations about the entire process. It all seemed fine when arranging to come and install the boiler and cavity wall insulation, pretty swift installation. Than the problems. 1, The cavity wall insulation team smashed there drills through our living room wall not once but twice! They patched the hole up but the front room needed redecoration afterwards which they refused to pay for. 2, The Boiler team didn’t solder a pipe in the loft properly causing a waterleak into the bedroom below ruining the wall paper and leaving mould on the wall, we got a quote for the redecoration of £500, they offered £125 only for both these rooms which is totally unacceptable. We went through there complaints procedure, they did not follow there own procedure, they did not reply, they did not attempt to resolve the issue by the end of the complaint date leashing us to constantly chase them. So over the weeks after the boiler system had been fitted it was loosing pressure all the time, I was having to go in the loft to top it up every few days, we paid for them to come out to change a radiator and found that they had not tightened up a connection which leaked and warped a wooden radiator cover. After that the system was still loosing pressure, I have no faith in Borthwick and could not afford to pay them to look into this so I set about finding this myself, after weeks of pulling up floor boards I found a stop tap under the floor boards next to the old pump they had removed was not even tight and was dripping water every few seconds, I fixed this myself. Then in the winter there was a constant noise from the loft, I investigated and the condensate pump was red hot and constantly running, I removed the pipe and the pump was working but the pipe was blocked so I traced the pipe through the eves in the loft and found the the pipe had been fed through a higher level clip with no support which had kicked the pipe a bit and it was not lagged properly and had frozen, so I had to rig a heater up to defrost the pipe, refit the pipe support and re-lag the pipe so it would not freeze again. In Short I would not recommend this company, they seem to thrive on high volume poor quality installations with little or no aftercare. Not many people could do the work I have done to put right the problems borthwick caused and our bedroom still has mould on the wall and still needs decorating - I am sure other companies provide this installation service Borthwick provide, my advice is find them and steer clear if this company at small costs

Borthwick did a survey on our home and within 3 weeks we had our old cavity wall insulation and loft insulation as well as the boiler removed and replaced, the work took two day, the workers were extremely polite and helpful and cleaned up the mess, there were about 9 large bags of old insulation which was removed within a few days. A fantastic job, our home hasn't felt this warm in years and the boiler is amazing. We would recommend Borthwicks to everyone. PS. It didn't cost us a penny. I will raise a glass or two tonight.
